Who we are
Rehnumai-e-Akhirat 220 is a free Islamic learning and community app offering the Quran with Urdu translation, hadith, duas, prayer information, a kids learning section, a book library and a moderated community. It is available on the web at rehnumai-e-akhirat.online and as an installable app. This policy explains what we store, why, and how you can remove it.
Information you give us
Account: when you sign up we store your email address (or the email you use for sign-in), a display name, a username, and — if you choose to add one — a phone number. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider and are never visible to us.
Profile: avatar, cover photo, bio and privacy setting, if you add them.
Community content: posts, reels, videos, captions, comments, likes, saves, follows, friend requests, groups and channels/pages you create or join, and direct messages you send. Direct messages are stored so the conversation works; they are visible to you, the other participant, and to administrators only where required for safety enforcement.
Uploaded media: images, videos and audio you upload are stored in our media storage so they can be shown inside the app.
Verification requests: if you apply for the purple badge, we store the name, contact details and description you submit for review.
Reports and blocks: if you report or block someone, we store that action so moderation and your block list work.
Feedback: messages and ratings you send through the feedback form.
Information collected automatically
We record basic, non-advertising usage counts so we know which pages and posts are being read: the page path, a random session identifier, and a view counter per item. We do not build advertising profiles, we do not sell data, and we do not use third-party advertising or tracking networks.
Your reading history inside the app (which chapter or page you were on) is stored against your account so you can continue where you left off.
Cookies and local storage
We use cookies and browser local storage only for the app to work: keeping you signed in, remembering your chosen language, dark mode, selected Quran reciter, kids-section progress (stars and badges), saved favourites, and which stories you have already seen. There are no advertising cookies.
Third-party services we actually use
Backend (database, authentication, storage): our hosting backend stores your account, content and media.
Quran text and audio: Quran text, translation and recitation audio are loaded from public Islamic content APIs and audio hosts, which necessarily see your device's request (including IP address) when you open a surah or press play.
Google Fonts: web fonts are loaded to display Urdu and Arabic typography correctly.
Google Sign-In: if you choose to sign in with Google, Google shares your basic profile and email with us.
We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook SDKs, advertising networks or push-notification tracking.
Moderation and lawful use
All community posts, reels, videos and channels are reviewed by an administrator before publication. Administrators can see submitted content, the account that submitted it, and reports about it, in order to remove harmful, unlawful or disrespectful material. Rejected content and moderation actions are logged so decisions can be reviewed.
Data security
All traffic is encrypted over HTTPS. Database access is protected by row-level security rules so one account cannot read another account's private data such as email address, phone number or private messages. Administrative operations require an administrator role verified on the server, not in the app interface. No online service can promise absolute security, so please use a strong, unique password.
Children
The app contains a kids learning section intended to be used by a child together with a parent or guardian. It works without an account and stores progress only on the device. We do not knowingly create accounts for children under 13 and do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.
Data retention
Account and content data is kept while your account exists. Deleting your account permanently removes your profile, posts, reels, videos, comments, likes, saves, follows, groups and channels you own, messages you sent, notifications, reading history, verification requests and block/report entries linked to you. Anonymous aggregate counters (for example a page view total) contain no personal identifier and remain. Content that has been reshared or screenshotted by other users outside the app is outside our control.
Your rights
You can view and edit your profile, delete your own posts and media at any time, block or unblock accounts, and permanently delete your whole account from Community → Settings → Delete account, or from the public page /delete-account. You may also email us to request a copy of your data or ask us to correct it.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, show a notice inside the app.
